Last Thursday we had our first Let’s Collage Live Workshops. Big thanks to the 5 artists for coming. We chatted and we put some colours on paper and we cut some shapes. Our conversation got cut by zoom on the 45 minute, the moment it was so interesting. So sorry about that. Such an embarrassment.

I am looking forewords to our next session on Monday.

Bring some materials with you. Here is a list of materials and art supplies that I use. It is only for orientation, please just grab what you have.

• cutting Matt A3

• drawing broom (here is where the magic begins)

• pencil

• scissors

• cutter - OLFA 300 9 mm blade ( I am not a scissors person, but it’s up to you, no judgement)

• white acid free hot pressed paper 190g Hahnemühle/ Nostalgie ( you can get it in all kind of sizes and it’s not expensive in Germany)

• coloured paper

• caran d’ache wax pastels neocolori II

• PVA glue

• Magazines you don’t need, wallpaper, fabric…

I will make sure the ending of the session goes smoother and we have a proper goodbye. It won’t be crowded, I hope to see you on Monday. The Workshop will be about Patterns.

I imagine the Live Workshops to be a space, where we could meet at least twice a month for an hourly session, feel safe, inspired and bloom. Next to craft, or how to do collage, the themes I want to explore with you are patterns, landscape, portraits, composition, colours, perspective, recipes and maps. In my wildest dreams I imagine the group transforming into a strong community, which continues to meet regularly on its own terms after a while.
